Vanilla Skyrim uses one ubiquitous model for every weapon type, based on it's material. You end up with several versions of almost all the weapons in game. It doesn't replace the weapons in game, but expands their variety throughout the world.
But, I have to agree with a big recommendation for Hothtrooper's mods. So, I can relate in only wanting retextures. My main requirement for modding my game is not to install any mods that change the basic art design and style of the game.
